Now, the key here is that you need to have good, informative content on your blog, not just spammy information, or people on social networking sites won’t come back to your site. But, over time, you can keep adding content to your blog, and people will come back more and more to your site, and enter your marketing funnel and in turn eventually become a customer or partner of yours.

Going Viral on Twitter

I have been using Twitter since August of 2008, and have learned a ton of information and how to leverage the use of this wonderful internet tool. Twitter to me is an excellent tool used as a marketing channel. Don’t get me wrong, I have used Twitter to directly make money, but for me it’s been about the traffic. I find it more useful and beneficial to get a flood of traffic rather than a couple of affiliate sales.

The first thing you are going to want to do is to actually create the landing page or blog post where the original content is created. I suggest creating a landing page, that offers something for free, which is your standard landing page these days. But instead of asking for a name and email address, you are going to ask for a simple tweet. When they tweet the predetermined message then they are redirected to the page where they can claim their free gift.

There are a couple of ways the tweet function can be accomplished. You can simply place the tweet message in a type of optin box, and tell the visitor that when you see that they have tweeted your message you will @ reply them and give them a link to where they can find the free gift.

The other method is a little more difficult and requires you to know a little HTML and javascript. If you know a thing or two about scripting, then simply create an “optin” box, instead of name and email, it will have a box with the text that is too get tweeted, then a place for the twitter username and password, along with a small disclaimer saying something to the fact that their twitter credentials will not be saved. Once the message is tweeted, the script will redirect them to the page where they get their free gift.

Then it’s just a matter of getting traffic to your landing page. The more people that land there the more your message will get tweeted. The more your message gets tweeted, the more exposure you page has. You can of course sell something in the free report or gift you give away. Twitter can be used to give your brand personality and build a huge base of loyal followers who see you as a trusted authority figure. One of the biggest benefits of twittering is having the ability to stay in constant contact with the people on your list. Don’t over do it. If you’re twittering several times a day about useless information then your followers will probably get sick of you and stop following you. However, sending a pertinent and useful information and links keeps you on their minds and will help to promote both your brand and the individual products you offer.

In order to do this you need to make certain that each Tweet offers a valuable resource or a solution to the burning problems of your target market. It’s real time and provides a tool that allows you to reach out to your audience, as well as influence subscribers. It’s a great way to build relationships.

Is Twitter for everyone? No. But it is an excellent tool for savvy marketers who want to increase the volume of communication for their products and who want to do it in the shortest possible time. If you are looking to get more traffic then there is one thing that you can do to get more traffic and that is using twitter as a marketing tool. You can make money through twitter and you can also build relationships as well. I have personally used twitter to build a following of almost 3,000 people and I treat each and ever single one of these people as a personal friend.

You can build relationships with people- By making tweets and replying to tweets this is how you can start making friends and build a presence online with your market. You need to make yourself the authority’s in your market and become the go to guy or gal that everyone wants to learn from.

You can get more traffic- The more tweets you make containing links to your websites and offers the more clicks you will get. However you must first build a presence in your market if you just spam a 100 links a day you will never get any clicks because people will think it’s all spam

You can make more sales The more traffic you get the more sales you will make, thats proven

You can build a bigger list, You can start sending traffic your your opt in page and in return give them something of value in exchange ask them for their email addresses so that you can begin to help them and build relationships.

I would focus on following people, every day try to make like 10 good post asking questions, re tweeting people, then I would make about 5 post that contain a link to your website.
